In an effort to step up buyer and seller security on eBay, we have added another method by which you can become a verified member.

Important : You will not be permitted to sell internationally if you are not a verified member.

There are now 2 options to get verified. Please select the method which is most convenient to you.

  1. Sign up for a PayPal account. If you already have an account, go to step 2.




  2. Verify your PayPal account with a credit card by completing the 3 easy steps to add/link and confirm your credit card with PayPal
    • Start the verification process by authorising a charge to your Credit Card to generate a 4-digit PayPal code.

    • Retrieve the 4-digit PayPal Code from your credit card statement either online or via the post.

    • Enter the code you’re your PayPal account.



  3. Link your verified PayPal account to your eBay account.

  1. Fax us at +60-3-2178-4996 or email us at vbc.sea@ebay.com * with the subject title 'ATTN: Manual Verification Team - Malaysia' and these 4 items:

    -

    Your eBay User ID

    -

    Your mobile phone number

    -

    Copy of your Identity Card (front and back) or Passport, AND

    -

    Copy of proof of address (eg: telephone or utilities bill).

     

    Note: Mobile phone bills are not accepted. Either the name or address on the bill must match the details on your IC/passport.

    * Email attachments should not exceed 1MB and can be in any of these formats: doc, html, jpg, png, gif, pdf.

  2. Wait for an email from eBay to inform you that you have been Verified.

* Please note that as part of our cross border trade requirements, all new sellers are required to offer PayPal or a merchant account as an accepted safe payment method in order to sell internationally
