Used Cosmetics

Used cosmetics are not permitted for sale on eBay. Any sale, supply or importation of cosmetics product is prohibited in Malaysia unless the cosmetic product has been duly registered with the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Listing cancellation

  • Loss of eBay fees

  • Limits placed on account privileges

  • Loss of PowerSeller status

  • Account suspension

Some Examples
  • Stacy opened and used a lipstick before listing it on eBay. She has violated eBay policy.

  • Jean opened an eyeliner but did not use it. She listed the opened but unused eye liner on eBay. Since she did not use the item, she is allowed to sell it on eBay but must disclose that the item has been opened.

Why does eBay have this policy?
