Feedback in Seller Terms and Conditions

Sellers are not permitted to include in their listings or terms of sale any conditions that limit or restrict the buyer from leaving feedback. Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Limits placed on account privileges

  • Loss of PowerSeller status

  • “Buyers who leave negative feedback without first contacting me will be required to pay me $500.”

  • “By purchasing this item you agree to only leave positive feedback on my account.”

Why does eBay have this policy?

Feedback is the foundation of trust on eBay. Having terms and conditions that dissuade an individual from leaving feedback undermines the integrity of the feedback system and decreases trust within the eBay marketplace.
