Managing Buying with My eBay

You can view and manage all of your eBay buying activities from a central location — the My eBay All Buying page.

For example, you can:

Managing items you’re watching

From the Watching section, you can track up to 100 items that interest you. Just add any active listing to your watch list by clicking the Watch this item link on the item's page.

To manage items you’re watching:
  1. Go to My eBay » Watch (on the left navigation menu)

  2. From the Watching section, select to do any of the following:

    • See groups of items - select All, Active, or Ended from the View drop-down menu at the top of the list.

    • Delete an item from your Watching section - select the check box next to the item title, then click the Remove button.

    • Add a note to an item on your list - select the check box for the item, and then click the Add Note button. Type your note, and then click the Save button.

Managing items you’re bidding on

In the Bidding section you can view all items you're currently bidding on, whether or not you are the current higher bidder.

To manage items you're bidding on:
  1. Go to My eBay » Active (on the left navigation menu)

  2. From the View drop-down menu see groups of items - select All , Winning or Not Winning

Note: After a listing ends, it will automatically move to the Won or Didn't Win sections. You cannot delete an active item that you've been outbid on until the listing ends.

Creating customised lists of items

Organise items from various My eBay sections into convenient, customised lists to make shopping easier.

For example, add items from your Watching, Bidding and Won sections to a list and name it, "Birthday Gifts for Friends".

To create or edit a list, click the Add to list link in the Take Action menu of any item. You also can add saved searches and sellers to a list.

Managing Best Offers and Second Chance Offers

With the Best Offer option, buyer can offer to purchase Buy It Now items at a price of their choice.

With the Second Chance Offer option, sellers can offer an item to any buyer who bid on a listing Sellers can use Second Chance offers when:

  • The winning bidder does not pay

  • The seller has duplicate items

  • The minimum price is not met in a Reserve Price Auction.

eBay adds a note to an item when you receive a Best Offer or a Second Chance Offer for it.

For Second Chance Offers, the lower of the two amounts in the Price column is the highest bid the seller received. The higher amount is what the seller's current offer. Buyers can accept, decline or take other action on the offer.

Managing items you’ve won

In the Won section, you can view all your recent eBay purchases, check if you've paid for the items and leave feedback for the seller.

To manage items you've won:
  1. Go to My eBay » Won (from the left navigation menu)

  2. From the Won section, select to do any of the following:

    • Use the links in the Take action drop-down menus to complete your purchases

    • Use the Period drop--down menu to change the time period for the items you want to view.

You can also quickly tell status of an item from the icons in the right columns. An icon is blue for completed actions and grayed out for actions you may need to act on.

You can delete items from each section on your Buying page. Later, if you change your mind you can restore most of your deleted items to the section. Information is available for 60 days.

To delete an item:

From any section on your Buying page select an item's check box, then click the Delete button at the bottom of the section.

To restore an item:

Click the Delete link under Buying in the left navigation menu to view items you've deleted. Select an item's check box, then click the Undelete button at the bottom of the section.

Note: Once an item is deleted from the Watching section it cannot be restored.

You can also sort deleted items by selecting an option from the Sort drop-down menu at the top of the section. Sorting is useful when you've deleted a number of items and now want to find and restore one or more of them.
