What types of help can I get from other eBay members?
The Community section on eBay offers many ways for you to reach out to other members. Experienced members remember what it is like to buy or sell for the first time and enjoy sharing their knowledge. In the process of getting help, you will also have the fun of meeting folks who share your interests and goals.
Where to look for answers
Here are some examples of the type of help that eBay members can give and where you can find it.
Quick answers — Got a specific question about tools, photos or how to bid and win? Turn to the Answer Center. Each question can become a thread of answers from various members. Typically members will respond the same day. (Before you post a question, read tips on getting help from other members.)
Trying something for the first time? — Answer Center volunteers welcome questions from new eBay members and members who want to try something new. For example, if you want to know how to open your first eBay Store, or whether you should, ask the experts in the Answer Center eBay Stores forum.
Tools and techniques — The Answer Center has forums where you can ask about seller tools and the best ways to pack and ship items.
Best practices — You’ve got a problem with an eBay buyer, and you want to know how other people solved a similar problem. Answer Center forums include Trust & Safety and Auction Listings.
Moving to the next level — You’re building your My World page and you want to find out how other people built theirs, what kind of traffic they get, and whether it helps them in their sales and marketing efforts. Want to check out what Professional Buying is all about or learn about the fun and challenges of International Trading? Discussion Boards can provide information for more advanced subjects.
Important: Community Boards are great for sharing best practices, finding friends, HTML assistance, help with tools, and emotional support. However, eBay is not responsible for the accuracy of the answers, or the content of any opinions or statements on Community boards. So if your question involves Trust and Safety policies, account security, or site issues, it is best to get the information directly from eBay.
